It is with sadness that we inform you that 2014-2015 Lt. Governor Arthur “Art” Hakes, from Division 23, passed away on March 24th. He was 77.

Art Hakes died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24th.
Art was a member of Kiwanis since joining the Dayton club in January 1990, the Carson City Sundowners in 1991, the Reno Sunrisers since
January 1992, and was a dual-member of Sunrisers and the Reno Downtown club serving as Reno Downtown's President 2017-18.
There will be a 10:30 am memorial service (Mass followed by a reception) on Friday, April 12 at the Carmelite Monastery, 1950 La Fond
Dr, Reno. The Monastery is south of Plumb Lane, about 3/4 mile east of S. McCarran; from Plumb turn south on Alexander Hamilton Dr. At Thomas Jefferson Dr, take a slight left as Hamilton becomes La Fond. The Monastery is on the left.
