Kiwanis Leaders addressed,
It is with sincere sadness that we inform you of the passing of 1985-1986
District Governor Howard Dull. He passed away
on Saturday, August 24.
Howard was 85 at the
time of his passing.
Howard joined Kiwanis in
December
1971 as a member of the North Fresno club. Throughout his 48-year membership, he was also a member
of the Riverpark club and was a current member of the Kiwanis Club of
Rosefloat of Pasadena since 2004 and the Kiwanis Club of East Fresno since
2012. He served as
Lt. Governor in 1977-1978.
His theme while he was Governor was “Dare to be Different” – and his team was the “Year of the Blacksheep”.
Howard had a Bronze Dunlap from the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation.
A
memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Northwest Church, 5415 N. West Ave., Fresno, CA 93711.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his name to the East Fresno Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 28537, Fresno, CA 93729-8537 or your favorite charity.
Notes of condolence may be sent to his wife, Karen
Dull,
6080 N Marks Ave., #121, Fresno, CA 93711.
Please keep Karen and their family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Please see the attached pages from our District’s history book regarding Howard’s year as governor, as well as a few photos through the years, including one of his infamous clown face.
We
have
lost another
Kiwanis legend – but his character
and impact
will continue to
shine. He will be truly missed.
