Roy and Lanie are setting this up now and will have a CLE trainers meeting on Saturday the 13th of June.  The K.I. meeting is optional as far as our Governor-Elect in concerned.  Our training is most important and Trina has the schedule as it comes in.  Tricia is sending the CLE books to each club.  There is 5 books for each club President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership chair.

As for your second e-mail Gary Gray and Roy as the membership chair for the District are working this into the CLE training now.

FYI – I just received this as a club secretary – in case we get any questions (as it states at the bottom to contact your district office with additional questions). I have some!

 

So, Mark – the way it is explained is they want secretaries to attend one of the KI trainings as part one and then as part two, they are supposed to attend a District training – is that correct? (If that is the case, maybe we need to send something out explaining this? – and if they sent this to incoming secretaries, only 100 clubs have submitted their election report so far so it won’t reach that many yet and we would probably need to send to current officers and ask that they forward this on to the incoming – and to fill out their election reports – which they were reminded to do in today’s monthly membership email!)

Congratulations on your election!

 

We realize most in-person Club Leadership Education (CLE) trainings are not happening right now and there is a lot of uncertainty if or when they will be able to resume. However, we want to make sure you are set up for success and have time to plan for your year.

 

Kiwanis International will be offering virtual CLE training for club secretaries on Tuesday, June 9 and again on Saturday, June 13 as part of a two-part training plan.

 

The virtual CLE training will be offered in multiple sessions at staggered times to accommodate multiple time zones. You only need to attend one session. These 75-minute live sessions will be a foundational training for each position roles, expectations, and resources available as outlined in the Leadership Guide. Following these sessions, there will be a brief facilitated Q&A opportunity.

 

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

  1. You must pre-register in order to attend.  To do so, visit https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/rt/6072212800616695823. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Registration will close 1 hour before the start of the session.
  2. The week following the virtual training, a recording from the session will be made available if you are unable to attend.
  3. Part two will be organized by your district’s Leadership Development Coordinator(s) (LDC) to go one step further and elaborate on the specifics of the various positions and how they pertain to your district. These may be held virtually or in-person in the weeks following the foundational training, depending on what is allowed by your local government.  Your LDC(s) will be developing and communicating the plan for your district over the coming weeks.
