It is with great sadness that we inform you that Floyd Stork, 1984-1985 Lt. Governor for Division 15, passed away Tuesday, January 31st, 2017, at the Inland Christian Home in Ontario, California.  Floyd was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Rancho Cucamonga for more than 50 years, serving as club president, secretary and Lt. Governor.

Floyd Stork served our country in the Army achieving the rank of Master Sergeant in charge of radar and microwave communications unit.  He served in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, including the Anzio invasion and in southern France and Germany.

Floyd worked for the Alta Loma School District for 34 years.  He began his career as a teacher, was promoted to principal and retired after serving as their superintendent for 25 years.  Those that live in Rancho Cucamonga know of the Floyd M. Stork Elementary School that was named in his honor, a true testament to Floyd’s commitment to children, education, and the community that he loved.

A Memorial Service for Floyd will be held on March 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 920 West 6th Street, Ontario.  Flowers may be sent or the family suggested a charitable donation be made to either the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation or the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Floyd’s name.

Floyd Stork will always be remembered for his faith, integrity, his love of his country and his commitment to serve others.  He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
