Hi all,

FYI – I am at the hospital downstairs in a lobby while my dad is sleeping and we are just waiting for the doctor to let us know what the next step is.

There is no cell service on my phone where I’m sitting but I do have wifi so I’m trying to work while I can.

Yesterday afternoon my dad called and asked me to take him to urgent care. Once we got there, they decided he needed to go to the emergency room and took him in an ambulance. He was dizzy in the morning and was vomiting. Since he has a pacemaker and defibrillator they wanted to do a CT scan and make sure he wasn’t having a stroke. The CT scan came back good – no sign of bleeding anywhere thankfully! They would normally want to do an MRI next but can’t because of his pacemaker. He was still feeling dizzy and not quite right and threw up a little in the ambulance even. They decided to admit him and he finally got into a room around 11:30 p.m. – I left to go home around midnight. His blood pressure was really high and I think he was having an allergic reaction – they still haven’t figured out what is going on but he has a headache and they said he’d have that because of the high blood pressure. He didn’t have an appetite but did drink some water.

When I came back this morning he said he did better and his blood pressure was down a bit. He was able to eat breakfast even though he still didn’t feel hungry. He looks a lot better and we’ll see if he gets to go home today or not once the doctor sees him. We’ll see how he does once he gets up and tries to walk around. He may need to stay a little longer – I’ll let you know when I know more.

Thanks!
