Since I’m club president this year, I’m receiving information from KI that I normally don’t (and hopefully I’ll ask to be added to the list next year too so that we can stay informed and see what is being sent out to the clubs) – so I’ll be sharing these throughout the year, if you are interested.

Thanks,

Trina

RESOURCES FOR KIWANIS CLUB PRESIDENTS

Dear President Trina,

Congratulations on the start of your term as Kiwanis club president. This year is full of possibilities—and there’s a wealth of tools available to help you leave a positive mark, both locally and globally, including:

  • Education. It’s never too late to learn. Get an introduction to club operations and helpful resources. The online course can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Achieving Club Excellence. Strengthen your club by utilizing The Formula's Achieving Club Excellence tools, which include resources to analyze your club and plan for future community impact.
  • Kids need Kiwanis. Browse kiwanis.org/brand to find TV and radio commercials, print ads, billboard samples and assets for social media you can use locally to raise awareness of your club.
  • Templates. Use templates to create brochures for your club or send a news release to the local media about your great service projects.
  • Custom club logos. Have a custom logo created for your club that follows the guidelines outlined in The Kiwanis Brand Book
  • Induction ceremony. Plan an induction ceremony for new club officers and members and welcome them in style with this new orientation kit
  • Email newsletters. Stay in the loop by opting in to receive Kiwanis-specific communications, such as news about The Formula, 2018 convention and Kiwanis Children's Fund.
  • Social media. Follow Kiwanis International on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn for breaking Kiwanis news, networking opportunities and contests. Share Kiwanis International news on your own channels.
  • Kiwanis magazine. Read the online version of Kiwanis magazine—and access special content not available in the print version. Discuss its content at club meetings, and look for ideas that may help your club and community.
  • Convention website. Make sure your club is represented by sending two delegates to the 2018 Kiwanis International convention.
  • Kiwanis International partnerships. Team up with Kiwanis International’s partners to maximize the impact your projects have in the community, improve your service projects and enhance the member experience.
  • The Kiwanis Children's Fund. Find out how the Kiwanis Children's Fund can help your club.
  • The Eliminate Project. It's time to follow through on our promise to the world. Do your part by fulfilling your club's pledge to protect mothers and babies from maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Thank you for your leadership and for everything you continue to do to serve the children of the world.
