FYI – I just wanted you all to be aware so that we are extra mindful when we are in KiwanisOne and in Member Management looking someone up, we actually have the access to delete members – which we never want to do! (well, never say never, haha) – but we want the clubs to be the ones to do this.

This could easily be done as shown in the screenshot below by clicking on the trashcan (and could accidentally be done if we were trying to go in and edit or just look) – so please be careful!!

A member did get deleted and we can’t figure out why or by whom – and in this case I don’t think it was any of us but I just learned we had the ability to do so – so I wanted us all to be aware.

Thanks for sending this along! If you or Mark were going to delete anyone, you would actually go through the Member Management area of your district dashboard and do it there –

But obviously, if you didn’t know that was there then it couldn’t have been you! 😊

I’ve researched Manya’s deletion, and unfortunately I’ve not found any other information on how it might have occurred. I did notice that there was a blank entry in the nickname field, which might have caused her name to only partially appear on the list – perhaps someone in the club deleted that record not realizing it was Manya. Either way, I don’t know that we’ll ever know; however, I’ve reinstated Manya so that there’s no indication that she was ever deleted; I believe everything should be in order now.

Let me know if I can check on anything else for you!

Here’s the email Jan received – looks to be the same as what Mark received.

I did talk to Jan again and she said she did not share her log in information with anyone.

I did log in and impersonate her and I still don’t see where we have access to delete anyone – I didn’t know we could but we never would do that.

But I did pull up the former member list there and saw she was there once (as she joined in 2013 and apparently dropped and came back in 2017) (see printscreen below) – it doesn’t show the recent drop (see attached spreadsheet) but this one had her email that was probably correct at the time but when you add her back in, the email address should be

xxxxxx@att.net

This is a very strange one!
