Thanks Pete.  The one area that this could affect the website is for any site visitors who are not using up-to-date browser software (the Box 'widget' that allows for folder and file browsing directly within the web page will not load).

 

Also, if any of your team are using the following Box provided tools from their workstations or phones they will need to be updated to the latest versions in order to work:

 

Box Tools

Box Sync

Box Drive

Box for Office

 

More information on browser versions and the above tools is available at the link provided in the email that you received from Box (highlighted as "please take the following steps"... there are two charts that show browser versions and the status of Box's own tools).

As previously communicated, we will be deprecating TLS 1.0 to maintain the highest security standards, promote the safety of our customers' data, and align with industry-wide best practices. We are writing to inform you that we will be delaying the deprecation date of TLS 1.0 across all Box services to June 25, 2018, to provide additional time to make necessary changes in your environment. After June 25, 2018, TLS 1.1 or higher (TLS 1.1+) must be used. Users leveraging web browsers, Box applications, or 3rd party applications that do not support TLS 1.1+ will not be able to access Box.

To avoid any service disruption with this deprecation, please take the following steps before
June 25, 2018.
