2004-2005 Lt. Governors (bcc’d) and Kiwanis leaders addressed,
It is with great sadness we have been informed that 2004-2005 Lt. Governor for Division 37, Elizabeth “Liz” Ferguson, passed away on Thursday, June 21. Liz was a member of the Kiwanis
Club of Carlsbad and served as president in 2008-2009 and secretary in 2005-2006 and 2009-2010. She was a member of Kiwanis for 25 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 7th at her home from 1-4 p.m. at 1104 Knowles Ave., Carlsbad CA 92008.
Please see the email from Tim Cunning below with more information, including her
obituary from The San Diego Union-Tribune and where to send notes of condolence and donations in lieu of flowers.
Please keep Liz’s family in your thoughts during this difficult time. Liz will be truly missed by so many, especially in the Kiwanis family.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the loss of one of Division 37's angels, Liz Ferguson. As a longtime Kiwanian of the Carlsbad club, and past Division 37 Lieutenant Governor,
Liz's love, heart, and warmth will be missed.
Liz was truly the living embodiment of the Objects of Kiwanis, not just because of Kiwanis, but because of who she was, how she loved, and how she lived. She was everything we should
all strive to be.
A celebration of life will be held at Liz's home, 1104 Knowles Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008, on July 7th, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Sympathy cards may be sent to this address.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, to continue Liz's legacy of caring for children, can be made to the Charitable Foundation of Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad (KCC) with a notation in the memo
section: Honoring Liz Ferguson. Address is: Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad, ATTN: Gordon Cress, P.O. Box 711, Carlsbad 92018. Gordon's phone number is 760-918-0470.
"Elizabeth Randall Ferguson Carlsbad Liz always called one of her sisters "Willie Pearl Pureheart." Anyone who spent time with her knows she should be thought of as Liz Ferguson Hugeheart.
She passed from this earth on June 21, 2018 to join the love of her life, Marvelous Marvin. Liz touched so many lives, from her humble beginnings in Alabama, the eldest of seven children, to her end here in SoCal. She will be sorely missed by her huge circle
of family and friends. Liz was actively involved in her businesses, her community, and committed to giving. You may have known Liz through WIC, the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce, her businesses Mother Lode Bookkeeping and Ferguson Salon Management, or her
charitable organizations Kiwanis and Meals-on-Wheels. If you didn't know Liz personally, but lived in Carlsbad, you probably recognize her by her huge friendly smile and her little dog Maggie May. A celebration of Liz's life will be held at her home in Carlsbad.
Liz doesn't need flowers, but she would like you to be your brothers' keepers and send donations to a charity; preferably one that "loves the little children of the world." Without Lizzy, the world will forever be just a little different."
