2014-2015 Lt. Governors (bcc’d) and Kiwanis Leaders addressed:

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Carl Ames, 2014-2015 Lt. Governor for Division 37. He passed away peacefully the morning of August 11, 2018.

Kiwanis was a big part of Carl’s life and he joined in 1979. He joined the Kiwanis Club of Sunrise Vista in 1994. His wife, Carol Brady, joined the club in 2004.

Carl’s memorial will be on Saturday, October 20th  at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 700 E Bobier, Vista, CA  92084.  A luncheon celebrating what would have been Carl’s 80th birthday will follow after the service in the Community Life Center Gym.  (Carl’s goal was to reach the age of 80,  which would have been on October 16th, so Carol would like to celebrate her beloved husband’s life in this manner). Carl’s favorite color was green, so she asks guests to honor him by wearing something green.

Notes of condolence may be sent to Carol Brady at 1203 Eucalyptus Avenue, Vista CA 92083.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests monetary donations benefiting the Kiwanis supported Eliminate Project by issuing a check payable to the Sunrise Vista Kiwanis Foundation with a notation in the memo section of the check: Eliminate Project- In Memory of Carl Ames. Mail monetary donations to:  Kiwanis Club of Sunrise Vista, Attn: Jarret Yasuoka- Secretary, P.O. Box 142, Vista, CA  92085.  Contact Jarret Yasuoka at xxxxxx@gmail.com with questions.

Please keep Carol and Carl’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
