REPLY REQUESTED!

2018-2019 Board of Trustees,

First and foremost, for the 2018-2021 Trustees, we congratulate you on your recent election as a District Trustee for the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Kiwanis International.  We are sure you will find your new position to be an exciting and rewarding experience.  For those of you returning, we thank you for your continued service on the Board and look forward to another productive and successful year.

And to begin the year, please join us at the 2018-2019 Board of Trustees Retreat and Meeting to be held October 19-21, 2018, at the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and the Kiwanis Professional Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. (The Trustee training and retreat will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, continue through Saturday, October 20 and will conclude with the Board meeting on Sunday, October 21 from 9 a.m.-11:00 a.m.)

Please see the attached reservation form. We ask that you submit the attached Trustee Retreat Reservation Form (by emailing to xxxxxx@cnhkiwanis.org or faxing to 909-989-7779 and using a credit card for any payment due) no later than Monday, September 17, 2018 so that we may secure your housing reservations and meals. Please confirm receipt (email or call Trina) once you’ve submitted your form.

Please note that hotel accommodations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are covered by the District if you are sharing a room with another Trustee. If you prefer to have your own private room for those nights, you will be responsible for paying $147 (total for all three nights) to cover the additional costs. If you will need accommodations for extra nights beyond Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you will be responsible for paying $98 per night.

Agendas for both the retreat and Board meeting will be sent to you in a separate e-mail.

If you will be flying into the Ontario International Airport and need transportation, the Best Western does provide a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport, as long as you make a reservation a few days prior to departure. To make a shuttle reservation, please call 909-466-1111.

Also, please see the attached 2018-2019 mileage budget form. We ask that you also submit the completed form by Monday, September 17, 2018. This form is required in order for us to properly prepare your travel budget for the year from the District. Please remember, we are asking you to provide us with one way mileage only - not round trip!

Should you have any questions regarding the mileage form, Board retreat or meeting, please feel free to call on me at 909-736-1703 or Trina at 909-736-1702.

Thank you for your attention and prompt response. I look forward to seeing you in October!

Sincerely,

Mark McDonald

District Secretary
