2009-2010 Lt. Governors and Kiwanis Leaders addressed (bcc:d),
It is with sadness we inform you of the passing of 2009-2010 Lt. Governor from Division 44, Karen Borman. She passed away on
November 20 after a long struggle with cancer. She was 77.
She has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael since April 1999 and served as Club
President, Club Treasurer and See's Candies Co-Chair. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Family House.
She was one of seven Lt. Governors that earned the Distinguished division status for 2009-2010 and in addition, received the Outstanding Leadership award recognition
level.
She also received a Distinguished Service Award in 2004, 2008 and 2016 and has a Tablet of Honor in 2009 from the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation.
A memorial service is being held on Sunday, December 16 at 11 a.m. at La Sierra Community Center, 5325 Engle Road in Carmichael.
Notes of condolence may be sent to her husband Byron at 6224 Vernon Way, Carmichael, CA 95608-5337.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Carmichael Parks Foundation in her memory - or a charity of the contributor’s choice.
