2016-2017 Policy Committee, Please see the attached and below information submitted by Joni Ackerman for the Violation of District Policy Section for today's meeting: Sorry for the late reply, but attached is a scan of my handwritten editing of Section 111, 1.111, second paragraph, change referral by Gov to Law & Regs Chair to "District Secretary." I don't think a committee chair who is a volunteer has authority to give such notices. 111.1 Please note that the alleged violator gets notice of the "receipt of the complaint" and "the determination.... to investigate the allegations." Nowhere does it say that the alleged violator gets to know what the allegations are. Second paragraph, order of sentences should change. Also, change 20 days to 30 days. (Why 20 days anyway and it's too short of a timeframe.) Again regarding notice, at 111.1 second paragraph, it states that "the District Secretary shall promptly give notice to the alleged violator(s), of the time and place of the [formal] hearing and shall provide the alleged violator a preliminary summary of the results of the investigation." If the amount of days to the formal hearing is only 20 days and the alleged violator is only now entitled to receive --not the actual allegations he or she has been investigated about and is being charged with-- but only "a preliminary summary of the results of the investigation." 111.2 use of "and/or" makes no sense -- either there is a report after the investigation and after the formal hearing process or there is only one report, and we should specify which Thanks, Trina -----Original Message----- From: xxxxxx@cnh.simplelists.com [mailto:xxxxxx@cnh.simplelists.com] On Behalf Of Trina Krider Sent: Monday, January 23, 2017 9:32 AM To: xxxxxx@cnh.simplelists.com Cc: xxxxxx@cnh.simplelists.com; xxxxxx@cnh.simplelists.com; xxxxxx@yahoo.com; xxxxxx@yahoo.com Subject: RE: Kiwanis Policy Committee Packet Jan 23 2016-2017 Policy Committee, Please see the attached additions to the agenda for today's meeting: 1.
