District Trustees, Past Governors, District Committee Chairmen, 2008-2009 and 2014-2015 Lt. Governors and team (bcc'd), Foundation Board and other District Leaders,

It is with extreme sadness that we inform you that Ken Kiner, who served as the District's Human and Spiritual Values Chairman from 2014 to the present, 2008-2009 and 2014-2015 Lt. Governor for Division 38, passed away yesterday (January 30, 2017).  Ken was a member of the Kiwanis Clubs of Hesperia and High Desert Sunset. He served at the club level as president and secretary. He has been a member of Kiwanis since May 2001 and was a charter member of the High Desert Sunset club since 2015. He was also a supporter of the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation.

There will be a viewing and private service for family this week and a memorial service will be scheduled in about six weeks. We will share the detailed information regarding the service, and any other information, once we receive it.

Cards and notes of condolence may be sent to his wife Eleanor at 7839 Windsor Ave., Hesperia, CA 92345 or son Russ Kiner (current District Trustee and Immediate Past Foundation President) at 20225 Eyota Court, Apple Valley, CA 92308.

Please keep Eleanor, Russ and the rest of Ken's family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed by many.

In Kiwanis Service,

Trina Krider
