Kiwanis 2017-2018 Team News from Governor-elect Joni
Trina Krider 29 Jul 2017 02:20 UTC
Hello ACTION Team, I will see you soon in Sparks. We will be together Friday morning for two hours (9:40-11:45 am). Friday late afternoon/evening we have time in my suite for beverages, also after installation on Saturday.
Saturday night is our installation. For those on our team who joined us after May training, I will repeat the attire for Installation. I will be wearing a bright blue top and suit jacket with black slacks. So we look like a team and have some color on stage--
Men please wear a black or dark navy suit or navy blazer with charcoal slacks, white or light blue shirt, and the bright blue tie I will give you at DCON.
Ladies please wear black suit or separates with white, ivory or bright blue top. Bright blue dress is great, too. At DCON you will receive something to wear around the neckline, and it is not a scarf.
Spouses/partners are invited to escort you on stage during the Installation dinner ceremony. You will be asked to come backstage when the session commences, once dinner has completed. Please listen for that announcement. Once spouses/partners accompany you across the stage, they will exit the stage and you will remain onstage for a group picture of the team of Lt. Governors.
Please promote DCON attendance. We have the most extensive Kiwanis seminars in every topic, and we have all convention Wifi, a district first.
Those of you who have not scheduled CLE in your division, or who had poor or no attendance, must schedule or reschedule CLE. It is your job to plan and promote the training event for club officers. You must get the facility and notify your clubs properly. It is not the job of the current Lt. Governor to handle this. You can not have successful clubs when they have officers that don't know what to do.
Unscheduled governors visits will be scheduled Friday morning with Ann Isaacs. Only a few dates are left and you will need to plan by region.
Makeup Lt. Governor training is Thursday morning 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Alpine Room of the Nugget Casino Resort.
The first 2017-2018 Board of Trustees meeting is Thursday at 4 p.m. You are all invited to attend. One item of discussion will be explaining to the Trustees how I want them to work with you.
See you soon! Thanks for your service!
